Strategic Partnership Agreement with Bordeaux University (10.7, Kyoto)


In 2014, Kyoto University and Bordeaux University concluded a MOU for university wide scientific exchange at an international symposium at Bordeaux University. In various following symposia and workshops, they defined more specific fields of scientific collaboration.

 

On October 7, Dr. Juichi Yamagiwa (President of Kyoto University) and Prof. Manuel Tunon de Lara (President Bordeaux University) signed a Strategic Partnership Agreement in order to take this cooperation to the next step. The signature ceremony took place after a conference held in Addis Abeba (Ethiopia) on strategies for scientific collaboration. At this conference, cooperation in the following three fields of focus were agreed upon: African Studies, Health and Aging, Sustainable Cities.

 

The Kyoto University European Center is eager to support this strategic partnership.
