Meeting between the Presidents of Hamburg University and Kyoto University

Kyoto University President Nagahiro Minato and Universität Hamburg President Prof. Dieter Lenzen met online on 15 March 2021.

Following the conclusion of a strategic partnership between both universities in June last year, an online meeting was set up at the beginning of this year as a courtesy call to the newly appointed Kyoto University President Minato.

In 2016, accompanied by its researchers, President of Universität Hamburg visited Kyoto University intending to initiate research matching. Since then, the two universities have held two international symposia and launched a double degree program between the Kyoto University Graduate School of Business Administration and the Hamburg School of Business Administration (HSBA) in April 2021.

New fields of research exchange through joint applications for university funding is expected to be launched soon and the European Center will continue to support the development of it future relation.
