The Strategic Partnership between Kyoto University and University of Zurich entered its second phase after successfully finishing its first. A vital part of this collaboration is to support existing as well as emerging projects, and to foster young researchers between both universities.
Within this framework Kyoto University offers two programs to support exchange with University of Zurich:
1. Joint Project Program
This funding supports existing projects or the establishment of new research collaborations. Costs can be allocated for mobility of project members and joint incentives such as workshops, seminars, and symposia.
Eligible applicants are full-time faculty members at Kyoto University (professors, associate professors, lecturers, assistant professors)

2. ECR Mobility Program
This progam offers mobility funding to up to 3 Kyoto University ECRs (Early Career Researchers) to facilitate a research stay at University of Zurich.
Persons with any of the following statuses at Kyoto University are eligible to apply for this program:
- Master’s/PhD students
- Researchers who have held a PhD or master’s degree for less than eight year
