The 5th meeting of the JUNThai (Japanese Universities’ Network in Thailand) which was held at the Japanese Embassy Hall on December 14, 2015. Around 50 people attended the meeting. There were two parts: Part 1, Presentation from Fukui University and Technology and Kyoto University, Part 2, Information sharing and discussionsessions among member universities.
For the presentation of Kyoto University, Professor Eji Nawata lectured about JASTIP which Kyoto University is the project leader. JASTIP is about promoting research for sustainable development to solve common issue on ASEAN especially environmental – energy, Bioresources – Biodiversity, Disaster Prevention with partnerships from Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia.
It was a very fruitful presentation and exchange. The next meeting is scheduled on March 14, 2016.
