On 11 January 2016, Kyoto University ASEAN Center attended the opening ceremony of Kyoto University partnership office in Mahidol University for coordinates the double degree program between Kyoto University, Graduate school of Global Environmental Studies and Mahidol University, Faculty of Engineering. In this regard, Prof. Mamoru Shibayama (Director, Kyoto University ASEAN Center), Prof. Kuniaki Yamashita (Director, JSPS Bangkok) and Mr. Shiro Terashima (First secretary, The Embassy of Japan) also attended and gave a congratulatory address.
In the Morning, Prof. Shigeo Fujii and Prof. Banchong Mahaisavariya (Vice president of MU) gave an introductory remark, opening remarks to participants and also cut the tape for official opening Kyoto University office. In the afternoon Prof. Shigeo Fujii, Assist. Prof. Shuhei Tanaka, Prof. Naoshi Kondo and Dr. Patou Musumari from Kyoto University gave some lectured and made a presentation about their faculties to Mahidol University’s students.
Within this event, there were held booths from faculties of engineering and public health to demonstrate their research. Kyoto University also held the booth for giving the information to the students. This is the fruitful collaboration between Kyoto University and Mahidol University for giving more educational opportunities to students.
