The Graduate School of Engineering, Kyoto University has initiated the JSPS Asian Core Program called “Research and Education Center for the Risk Based Asian Oriented Integrated Water Management” from beginning of FY2011. Activities are focusing on developing solutions for the management of watershed and its associated risks. Efforts are also taken to create educational program to foster scholarship for scientists and engineers. The program will also train young researchers to be leaders for the next generation. It is our aim to establish a resource center which will support activities leading to research and human capital development.
5th Comprehensive Symposium for Research and Education Center for The Risk Based Asian Oriented Integrated Watershed Management is going to be held on 19-20 November, 2015. This symposium is to review achievements in the past 5 years and to exchange ideas for the future collaboration.
